Kent Island now has their own Little League Charter for Softball!

Opening Day (with KIYBSC baseball): Early to Mid-April

Practices and Games

Practices will be held twice a week at the coach’s discretion on Kent Island fields (usually Matapeake fields) and will start in March.

Games will be once or twice a week from April to June. Games will be held on Kent Island and in some eastern shore counties. Game schedules will come out closer to opening day and will be communicated via TeamSnap.

Communication

Download the TeamSnap app for communication from your child’s coach.

Download the RainOutLine app for communication on field closures throughout the season. Type in QAC.

Equipment

Your daughter will need the following for the softball season:

• Softball fielding mask

• Glove (majors or above should have >11-inch glove)

• Bat

  • How do I know the correct size bat for my daughter?

• Softballs for practice at home

  • 11” softballs for coach pitch and minors

  • 12” softballs for majors and seniors
